Welcome to Our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) where we provide specialized care for Critically ill children and adolescents upto 18 years – The little Champs.
Paediatric Acute and Critical Care Team (PACT) comprise of 7 paediatric intensivists with 24X7 care to all critically ill children and child emergencies. We along with trained PICU Nurses, Respiratory Therapist, Clinical Pharmacist , Dietician and all Pediatric Subspecialty Consultants work as a team together to provide comprehensive, coordinated, holistic care for your little champs admitted with us.
Our team is highly trained to handle a diverse range of medical and surgical conditions. These include severe infections, respiratory failure, cardiac and hemodynamic instability, neurological emergencies, trauma care, complex pediatric surgical conditions, and cases of poisoning. We have dedicated
intensive care units for pediatric solid organ transplants and pediatric bone marrow and hemato-oncology. Our pediatric transplant ICU is renowned as one of the busiest in India and the world.
We understand that hospitalization can be a stressful experience for both the child and the family. Therefore, we strive to provide a family centred approach to care that involves open communication, education, emotional support to help families feel informed and empowered to be part of the child care and also to provide room for parents with children in the PICU.
Our PICU is equipped with state of the art medical technology and equipment to support the complex needs of the critically ill children. We have dedicated rooms equipped with advanced monitoring systems, ventilators, and other life sustaining equipment to provide continuous monitoring and support for our little champs. PACT has a track record of handling high risk children with complex needs including Multi-organ Transplantation/Mechanical Assist Device (ECMO & VAD), Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT/SLED/PIRT/IHD), Plasma Exchange Therapy, Neuromonitoring and Cardiac Output Monitoring Technology. We are equipped with facilities to make long distance transport of Critically ill children via land and air.
